March 17th - 26th, 2016
When disco diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act is reason to rejoice!

It's 1959, and Rydell High School's senior class is in rare form. The too-cool-for-school "Burger Palace Boys" are stealing hub-caps and acting tough and their gum-snapping, chain-smoking "Pink Ladies" are looking hot in bobby sox and pedal pushers. The 1950's high school dream is about to explode in this rollicking musical that is both an homage to the idealism of the fifties and a satire of high schoolers' age-old desire to be rebellious, provocative and rebellious.

Bringing Charles Dickens' beloved novel to life, Lionel Bart's Oliver! takes audiences on a wild adventure through Victorian England with timeless characters and it's ever popular story of the boy who asked for more.
This is a special presentation by the students of the Richard E. Rauh Conservatory, backed by the talented CAPA Orchestra and supported by the professional artists of Pittsburgh Musical Theater.

Bring your disco balls and dancing shoes for Saturday Night Fever, the musical adaptation of the 70's classic film. It's the story of a talented street-wise kid from Brooklyn who attempts to escape his dead end life through dancing. The score to Saturday Night Fever includes many disco-era hits, so get ready to boogie down!
2015-2016 Student Season
The students at the Rauh Conservatory Theater Company (RCTC) perform with their very own theater company. The RCTC showcases student talent in Broadway Shows at both the Byham Theater in Pittsburgh's Cultural District and the New Hazlett Theater near the Children's Museum. These Broadway musicals allow students to claim all of the roles in every show and are supported by the professional artists and musicians of Pittsburgh Musical Theater.

New Hazlett Theater
With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie charms everyone's hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930's New York City. She is determined to find her parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of the other girls in the Orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC. She finds a new home and family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell, and a lovable mutt named Sandy.

Based on Puccini’s beloved opera La Bohème, Rent follows the ups and downs of a year in the life of a group of impoverished, artistic friends living in Manhattan’s East Village. The group's dreams, losses, and love stories weave through the musical's narration to paint a stunningly raw and emotional portrait of the gritty bohemian world of New York City in the late 1980s, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

On Christmas Eve, Scrooge sits in his house with not a kind word for anyone; he just wants to be left alone until the 'humbug' of Christmas is over. But four ghostly visitors-his former business partner, followed by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come - show him the error of his ways, and by the time Christmas Day dawns, Scrooge is a changed person. The entire family will enjoy this timeless classic adapted for the stage by Kenneth Vance and Jane Gargaro peppered with your favorite Christmas carols.
Pittsburgh's premiere youth performance group who serve as ambassadors for Pittsburgh Musical Theater. Featuring music from Shrek, Sister Act, Grease, and pop-culture songs, XTB is sure to have you on your feet, and clapping along!
