EDUCATION AT PMT
Become a Superstar...not just on a stage, but in life!
PMT Conservatory is the arts education entity at Pittsburgh Musical Theater that offers year-round training, mentoring, and performance opportunities for students ages 4-18.
Our approach to arts education and opportunities are fuel for learning, building transferable life skills, community, inclusion, and becoming a Superstar...not just on a stage, but in life!
PMT Conservatory creates a place of belonging that not only stokes passion and creativity, but teaches students discipline, compassion, empathy, humility, self-confidence, freedom of expression, and leadership.
Young artists explore musical theater through collaboration, imaginative play, movement, music, storytelling, and creative expression. Designed to build confidence, support social skills, and spark a lifelong love of the performing arts, these programs provide a fun and encouraging introduction to teamwork on the stage and beyond.
As young artists grow, so do their opportunities to explore, create, and collaborate. Preteen programs help students strengthen their skills in a supportive environment while building confidence, friendships, and a deeper connection to teamwork, as well as the performing arts.
Tween programs give developing performers the opportunity to take the next step in their artistic journey. Through focused training, creative exploration, and performance opportunities, students continue building their skills, confidence, and individuality both on and off the stage.
Teen programs provide young artists with the opportunity to challenge themselves, strengthen their craft, and grow as leaders - both on stage and off. Students receive training and guidance from working professionals while collaborating with fellow artists and engaging in exciting performance opportunities.
Designed for dedicated young artists ready to take their training further, the Teen Performance Intensive provides an immersive musical theater experience focused on advanced training, collaboration, and performance. Students work closely with industry professionals while developing the skills, discipline, and confidence needed to grow as performers.
Summer Musical Theater Camp is a day camp for young artists that offers training in acting, voice, dance, and technical theater. Students spend their summer creating, collaborating, building new skills, and experiencing the excitement of bringing their work to life.
It’s never too late to take the stage, try something new, or rediscover a passion for the performing arts. Whether you're returning to the studio, exploring a new creative outlet, or stepping into your very first class, PMT Conservatory offers a welcoming place to learn, move, create, and connect - no prior experience required.
