Pittsburgh Musical Theater is committed to youth development, continuity of training tested regularly in performance, and teaching valuable, transferable life skills that stem from an arts education. Participating in a production allows students to implement the skills they learn at the conservatory and collaborate with peers, resident artists, and industry professionals. In alignment with our mission, PMT is proud to offer numerous performance and mentorship opportunities throughout the year!
PMT Conservatory students must be enrolled and actively participating in a minimum of 3 conservatory classes to be considered for Young Artist Productions at the Byham Theater and all professional productions at the Gargaro Theater.
Any enrolled and actively participating student is eligible (no class enrollment minimum) to audition for Young Artist Productions that take place at the New Hazlett Theater or Gargaro Theater. This includes A Lyrical Christmas Carol and spring semester preteen and teen shows.
